Thank God for the Economic Stimulus Refund!

My tax refund helped fund my very first trip to a Celtic game IN Boston! It's ironic that I rode the train to the game, because I was basically a train wreck during my first visit. Fortunately, I went back for Game 2 and was able to hold it together emotionally a little better. Here are a few highlights that brought on the waterworks.

* Riding the train to the game and seeing almost the exact view that is featured in Larry Bird's highlight video in NBA Superstars I. Also, as we got close to the Garden some of the fans on the train started the Let's Go Celtic chant.

* I was SO overwhelmed in the pro shop. I've never seen so much Celtic gear, I'm pretty sure I hyperventilated trying to take it all in. I left with three shirts, a flag, and promotional signs and balloons.

*The Pre-Game Video on the Jumbo tron featured the Celtics greatest play off moments. When they showed the Larry Bird video of him fracturing his cheek bone against the Pacers and then coming back to win the epic battle against Chuck Person. Verklempt. Talk amongst yourselves.

* Looking up and seeing those 16 championship banners and the retired numbers in person was also a tad emotional for me.

This was such a surreal experience for me and I can't wait to go back!

I got the exact same view riding the train in to the Garden.
